| Summary |
After a round 1 bye, a round 2 win over TR, and a round 3 win over DEA, the DFL+LS alliance was to play *Ja in the semi finals.
We started blue side on Blizzard TKOTH and after much fanangaling with the PSPs finally simply aced the zone. Red side saw much of the same, although we eventually ended up keeping both PSPs and holding them back to their main spawn.
Blue side of Reign of Fire flagball, *Ja informed us they had two more players available and we decided to meet them with bh and Toby to make it an 8v8. On such a small map, this quickly turned into mass carnage.
*Ja quickly turned to a defensive camp in the buildings strategy that was hard to defeat. Ultimately, however, via good old American 203s we were able provide ourselves windows to the cap point several times throughout the game.
This, combined with *Ja's own distraction of some un-sportsmanlike trash talking mid-game, allowed us to achieve a 7-0 flags capped victory. Wall shined with an impressive 4 of the 7 flags capped and a positive ratio. |
