I don't believe so. That's the same socket I have with the Q6600. It does say that it supports future shit but...

You want a motherboard that's socket 1366 or uses the X58 chipset, this is the older P35 chipset using a socket 775.

Get this one nub. A little pricey but worth it. A lot of room for upgrading. Been using it for about a year now and it pwns.

Yeah gabe I'm pretty sure that's the one I have, fucking sick, I would go with that and an i7 920, 4 Gigs of DDR3, and you're set.

Ok, so I'm going to go with this motherboard:

will my current [4GB (2x2GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory] be a bottleneck/ do I need to upgrade to DDR3?

It won't be compatible, you have no choice but to use DDR3 RAM with that board.
