lol - yeah its a piece of shit, now you know why it takes me so long to do anything with it. It works but its super sketchy. The menus all overlay on top of each other, so it looks super messed up but you just have to trust that your on the menu that you selected. Also the drop downs don't always show up, I find it works best to not use your mouse with it and just use tab and arrow keys. Once you manage to make a change, you are pretty much done and have to save, close and re-open the program.

There is some euro program out though that I guess works much better - I have not tried it yet but check it out here:

We are in the process of updating all servers to version R6.
During this time your server will go down, patch will be applied and it will then be restarted. Please do not do anything with your server until you receive a second email from us saying the update is complete.
After this update has completed and you received our second email you can then enable Punkbuster again as they have fixed the Punkbuster kick issue.

"This server contains a fix for the "PB INIT failure" mass-kick that we saw over the past days after each time Plasma(backend) went up/down." - EA/Dice

Restarting the server is done through myinternetservices link. Its real easy using that.

Gabe how much RAM you got? I got a version that's 32 bit after having 64 vista, so much better and no noticeable difference in performance due to capping RAM at 4gb or whatever it is.

I am pretty sure the 32bit one is still up where xt got it from.... Also I keep getting more emails regarding updates and what not, so expect more resets/downtime. Here is the latest:

Quote:
EA/Dice are messing with the backend systems and unfortunatly it's disconnecting the servers.
This is in preparation for the change over tomorrow morning:
http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/batt ... -00-a.html

This is being reported on our email list with EA/Dice and it's affecting all providers.

"EA Maintenance, now with extra added hardware.

Tomorrow, 12th March, and Saturday, 13th March at 8:00GMT/9:00 CET:12:00 (midnight) PST, EA will take the servers down, this time we will come up with even more hardware with more capacity to handle all the BFBC2 traffic.
Once the maintenance is complete you will experience an improvement to your online experience.
This will be extended maintenance to allow the new hardware to be installed and affect all three platforms (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360)."
